UPDATED: August 31, 2003- She's bought more new domains and continues to use other people's work without credit! You'd think she'd learn by now.
After that time, it became apparent that Filia was not working on the site, as the "coming soon" message that she had put up when the domain was first purchased had yet to budge. Tasuki is not a rich person, and had no wish to continue paying for a domain that was going nowhere, so she stopped. Filia seemed understanding, and promised that Inverse.nu would be up soon.
A full year later, Inverse.nu was still not up. Tasuki and I were understandably frustrated, as we had our Slayers shrines already hosted on the Inverse.nu server at that point, and nothing seemed to be happening. After we discovered that Filia had plagiarised Traumatic.nu and Utena.net (which will be discussed shortly), our faith in Filia was thouroughly shattered. We decided to try to gain control of Inverse.nu.
We figured that there would be no hassle, because Filia had lost interest in the project, most obviously because she had moved her shrine off the Inverse.nu server. So Tasuki composed a polite email asking if Filia would hand over the domain to her. Tasuki explained that I would be helping her pay for it, so Filia wouldn't have to worry about continued costs. She could get rid of the extra domain, save herself (and her grandfather) some money, and have more time to spend on other sites that she was still interested in.
However, Filia responded, saying that she didn't want to give us the domain because she still planned to work on it, even though she had moved her shrine and no progress had been made for a year. Grudgingly, but still politely, Tasuki and I said okay. The next day, our shrines had been deleted off the server. Filia claimed that the server had crashed and the files could not be recovered, but a short email from the hosting service she was using confirmed that there had been no server crash of any sort, and the files had been manually deleted.
Tasuki was decidedly angry because she had paid a full $80 CND to Filia, who is rich and didn't actually need the money, for a domain that had never gone anywhere. And to top it off, Filia recently put Inverse.nu up for sale on her site instead of handing it over to Tasuki, who was still technically the joint owner.
And apparently, other people have been "given" domains by Filia, only to have Filia delete them or take them away when it suits her. But then, what sort of behavior could be expected of someone who thinks it's okay to plagiarize? Which brings me to my next point.
