Illuminati.nu- Filia's site VBrush

At first glance, this screencap of Illuminati.nu seems inconspicuous and normal. It's just a simple, normal layout. Right? WRONG! This is FILIA'S page we're talking about! The entire top graphic, which I may point out is the ONLY graphic on the whole page, is nothing more than a brush from VBrush. No big deal, you say? Lots of people make layouts using brushes, you say? True. However, most people follow the rules posted on the sites they downloaded those brushes from and CREDIT the creator of the brush. Three guesses who didn't mention a word of credit on her site, and the first two don't count. And once you get that one, guess who has a copyright notice on the bottom of her page declaring that EVERYTHING on that page belongs to her? I don't think I have to go much further with this one. A minor tresspass, usually forgivable, but in Filia's case it's just icing on the metaphorical cake.

NOTE: If you want to get to the VBrush archive in question in order to see a better picture or download the set for yourself, just go to VBrush's main page, click on "My Brushes," agree to credit VBrush by clicking on the image that says "Credit Me" (notice it's a requirement that you have to read before even getting to the brushes?), click on "April 21, 2002," scroll down, click "next," do so once more so now you're on the third page, and then the set in question should be at the bottom.

You have to go through all this because the owner of VBrush doesn't want people direct-linking to her sets. :)

There's also the matter of Snuffles.nu. It seems that Filia shut it down before we could get a screencap, but we're not the only ones who noticed her blatent lack of regard for a certain Japanese fan artist who's art she used for the layout. The artist in question is Mauo, and the illustration Filia so blatently stole is here. Now, Filia DID have "credit" on her page, or what she considered credit, I guess. She claimed that she got the art from a friend, the original artist was named Muoa (or insert your own butchered version of the name here), and she gave no link back to the site, claiming she didn't know the URL. I found the URL within 5 minutes on Google.
