History

Just-Peachy.com was born in 2002 as a complimentary blog to my original collective, Electrosushi.net. The name was derived from a panel of The Sandman comic books, issue #8, in which Death is talking to her brother, Dream, and exclaims, "Peachy Keen!" Peachy-Keen was already taken as a domain name, but Just-Peachy was a second, happy choice.

After a time, running a blog domain separate from my collective became a hassle, and began to feel like overkill. Combining the two seemed like the best decision, and I was left with a choice between Just-Peachy and Electrosushi. In the end, Just-Peachy won out, due to its timelessness and greater general appeal. Electrosushi died, and Just-Peachy.com became my sole domain, housing both journal and collective.

Things remained thus until September of 2005, at which point my Livejournal had long since become my only real blog. Streaming the journal had turned out to be more of a hassle than it was worth, and I wanted to dedicate more time and energy to the collective aspect of my domain, something that making room for my journal had interfered with time and again. After a somewhat lengthy hiatus of three months, Just-Peachy reopened solely as a collective, taking over five years to do what amounted to a complete one-eighty.

Just-Peachy.com will most likely change again in the future, but it's certain that in one form or another, it's a domain that I'm unlikely to tire of.
